The morning was illuminated by the esteemed Prime Minister, Dinesh Gunawardena, who officially opened the exhibition with inspiring words and a vision for the future of the gem and jewelry industry.

The grand opening at the prestigious Grand Silver Ray Hotel, Ratnapura, was graced by an array of distinguished guests, making it a truly memorable occasion. The esteemed Chairman, Mr. Viraj de Silva, and the visionary CEO of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority led the way, showcasing their unwavering dedication to the industry.

The event was further honored by the presence of the Honorable Industry and Health Minister, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, whose attendance added immense value. The Honorable State Minister of Primary Industries, Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, also graced the occasion, highlighting the significance of this sector to the economy. Special mention goes to the other political dignitaries, government officials, and especially the foreign delegations who joined, making this event truly international. Additionally, prominent organizations such as the Gem Traders Association, Lanka Gem Dealer and Miners Association, leading gem businessmen, and Gem Traders were present.
