Preparatory Session on Sri Lanka’s Third Mutual Evaluation for the Enforcement Division of National Gem and Jewellery Authority

The National Gem and Jewellery Authority (NGJA) organized a session for the enforcement division to raise awareness on the upcoming third mutual evaluation on the implementation of Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Countering Financing for Terrorism (CFT) Regulations in the gem and jewellery sector on 1st of July 2025 at the Authority head office premises with the resource participation of the officers of the Financial Intelligence Unit, Sri Lanka.
The regional managers, enforcement officers, enforcement and regional development assistants and the subject officers attended for the session. The main focus of the session was to increase awareness on the role of National Gem and Jewellery Authority in relation to Sri Lanka’s Third Mutual Evaluation and effective implementation and monitoring of AML/CFT regulations compliance within the industry.
