program to educate the businessmen involved in the jewellery trade

On the 8th and 9th of June, the head office of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority and the Matara regional office successfully conducted a program to educate the businessmen involved in the jewellery trade in the cities of Galle and Hikkaduwa by distributing craft tools to the artisans engaged in the traditional jewellery industry and money laundering.

The event was attended by Honorable Minister of Industries and Health Mr. Ramesh Pathirana and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Gems and Jewelery Authority Mr. Viraj De Silva and other staff.
